| Permanent make-up is used for the eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. During your consultation you will have an excellent idea of what your finished results will look like. Is this type of make-up the same as a tattoo? The permanent make-up application is similar to a tattoo since tiny needles implant the pigment under the dermis so that it does not wash or rub off. Naomi's Salon only uses sterilized disposable needles. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed. Is the application painful? A topical anesthetic is applied to the area. Discomfort varies from person to person. Although, various parts of the face are more sensitive, eyebrows for instance are much less sensitive than lips. There is not need to take a prescription strength pain killer. Simple over the counter pain relievers taken before should be sufficient for most people. How long will permanent make-up last?
